A day out with sammy.........
Dan and I had the blessing of getting to spend a whole day (a very very hot one) at the Day Out with Thomas event. It was awesome, and I am glad we got to go!
And I got the pleasure of having Emmie 1-on-1 for the day. I always learn a lot from herLOL
We began with a trip to the Antique Mall where she helped carry in some things and then onto Long's Bakery where she chose chocolate donuts for herself and had to get some blueberry ones for Sam.
Then, on the way to Dr. Anderson's, I learned that the skin on the back of my arms 'hangs down'.........'why does the skin hang down on the back of your arms, Grandma?' came floating to my ears from the back seat. I had no idea this was happening tho everything else is going south, so why not the skin on the backs of the arms --- but will not go sleeveless anymore:)
At Greg's, she said she said she didn't want to take her donuts in because he'd eat them all --- however, once inside she generously offered him one of MINE.
Then home for a quick lunch, a romp with the rabbit that lives in my front yard(she thinks it's probably the Easter Bunny -- don't they always live at Grandma's house??) and onto a friend's where she played with her granddaughters for an hour or so while Sandy and I chatted -- I enjoyed that.
Then to Target where she made out like a bandit with some new clothes and helped pick some things for Sam.
It was a good Emily day and I so enjoyed it!! Thanks Mynde:)

Emily didn't get to go? Yea for Sam! A day by himself plus Thomas.
