Update

My father in law is entering the final stages of his life.  It is so very painful.

Sam woke up throwing up.

Allyson's best friend from Boston is home for a visit.

My husband bought a new (used) car.  Again.  It is so not a convertible slug bug.  But it is a cute little thing.

I finally made the time to clean our house last night.

My heart is heavy.

Someday I will be more 'normal'- just not right now.

It's never easy to watch those you love suffer. When I was younger, my Grandpa who lived just around the corner, had a terrible stroke. He made it clear that he didn't wish to be kept alive and that he was ready to join Grandma. It was very difficult to watch this tall, dignified, white haired man who I loved, starve to death and slowly shut down over a period of a week or so. I remember scrubbing down all of my counters late one night in a kitchen full of food as I cried because none of it would save him and there was nothing I could do. Best wishes as your family struggles through this painful time.

Praying Mynde. What can we do to help? Anything you need....seriously.

Thank you both.

Sarah- we are fine. There is nothing to do but wait for God to call him home. I so appreciate your willingness to help us though.

I'm sorry to hear the news about your father-in-law. Sorry I'm not closer.

I see that you go to church, that must be a big comfort to you all
